The 266th birth anniversary of Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu was celebrated grandly at Krishna University under the leadership of Rector Acharya Mandava Venkata Basaveswara Rao. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has declared the birth anniversary of Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu as a State Festival and issued orders to celebrate it officially on April 27, 2026, in all government offices and institutions. In accordance with these orders, during the celebrations held at Krishna University, Rector Basaveswara Rao garlanded the portrait of Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu and paid rich tributes. He praised the great leader for his contributions as a ruler of Amaravati, highlighting his efforts in public welfare and his role in developing Amaravati into a prominent historical, spiritual, and cultural center. He stated that remembering such a great personality, who symbolizes leadership excellence in the region, is a matter of great fortune. He emphasized that it is our duty and responsibility to follow his ideals. He further advised students to take inspiration from the vision and leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is working with the principle that “people are gods and society is a temple,” and striving for the development of the state despite the challenges after bifurcation. He encouraged students to acquire skills and excellence in their chosen fields, become strong pillars for the future of the state, and contribute to taking Telugu pride to global heights. Referring to the initiatives of the Hon’ble Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh, he advised youth to learn from the reforms being introduced in the education system and stressed that with determination and hard work, anything can be achieved. Later, the Rector distributed pens to all the students of the university. Students participated in the program and paid homage to Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu. They also took a pledge to dedicate themselves to the development of Andhra Pradesh, drawing inspiration from his life, and to support the government in its efforts. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.
