Prof. K. Ramji, Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University, garlanded the portrait of Florence Nightingale on the occasion of International Nurses Day 2026, commemorating her birth anniversary, and paid tributes during a programme organized by the First Aid Centre, Krishna University, at the Senate Hall, KRU Campus, Rudravaram, on 12th May 2026.

On this occasion, he recalled the significant role played by nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and congratulated all nurses for rendering dedicated services by staying away from their families in patient care, community health, and disaster management. Smt. P. Padmaja, Staff Nurse of Krishna University, was felicitated by the Vice-Chancellor during the event.

Sri N. VVSS Markandeylu, Deputy Registrar; Sri G.S. Nagesara Rao, University Engineer; Sri B. Ranganath, Dy. E.E., APEWIDC, along with teaching and non-teaching staff of Krishna University, attended the programme.
