Krishna University has taken a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Machilipatnam, on 5th May 2026 at the Alluri Sitarama Raju Auditorium, KRU Campus, Rudravaram. The MoU was formally signed by Prof. N. Usha, Registrar of Krishna University, and Sri A.E. Srinivasa Rao, representing BEL with key objectives of to promote collaborative research and development in emerging and applied areas across engineering, life sciences, and physical sciences, to facilitate sharing of expertise, infrastructure, and technical knowledge between BEL and Krishna University, to enable interdisciplinary innovation, including areas such as drone technology, optics, sensors & actuators, biotechnology, environmental sustainability, data science, electronics, and healthcare technologies, to support capacity building, skill development, and industry-relevant training for students and faculty, to align collaborative activities with national initiatives such as Make in India, Digital India, PM internship, BOAT apprenticeship programmes and PM-USHA objectives and to facilitate student internships, industrial training, and project-based learning opportunities, collaboration and networking across disciplines, enabling exposure to real-time industry practices and applied research environments.
The MoU exchange took place in the presence of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Chairman – Sri Konakalla Narayana Rao, Superintendent of Police, Krishna – Sri V Vidyasagar Naidu, IPS, Vice-chancellor of Krishna University – Prof. K. Ramji. Prof. Y.K. Sundara Krishna and faculty members of Krishna University were also attended during the programme.
