Prof. K. Ramji, Vice-Chancellor, Krishna University, attended as the Chief Guest for the World Pharmacist Day-2025 celebrations organized by the KRU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (KRUCOPSR) on 25 September 2025 at the Alluri Sitaramaraju Auditorium, KRU Campus, Rudravaram. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Ramji stated that “it is no exaggeration to say that pharmacists are lifesavers in society.” He emphasized the invaluable role played by pharmacists in safeguarding people from dangerous viruses such as COVID-19 and highlighted the rapid growth of the pharmacy field in India. Dr. Prasad Reddy, Central Council Member of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), in his inaugural address, elaborated on the recent developments and reforms in the field of pharmacy. As part of the programme, tributes were paid with a garland to Professor Mahadeva Lal Schroff, the Father of Pharmacy in India. Prof. N. Usha, Registrar, Dr. P. Rambabu, Principal of KRUCOPSR, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Pharmacy College, actively participated in the celebrations.
