In recognition of the extraordinary life and legacy of Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh – whose visionary leadership, artistic brilliance and unwavering devotion to the Telugu cause have left an indelible imprint on the state of Andhra Pradesh – Krishna University observed as a State Function on 28th May, 2025 to commemorate his birth anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. K. Ramji, Vice-chancellor of Krishna University, lauded NTR’s transformative leadership that as a Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he ushered in Governance reforms grounded in social justice, decentralization and people-centric administration, most notably, pioneering welfare schemes that brought dignity and hope to the rural poor.
As part of the commemorative function, Prof. M.V. Basaveswara Rao, Rector, Krishna University, Sri M.D.S.S. Ratan, Finance Officer, Krishna University were felicitated during the programme as they highlighted the pivotal role of Sri N.T. Rama Rao in shaping the socio-political landscape of the state and promoting pride in Telugu heritage through his work in cinema and governance. Prof. N. Usha, Registrar, Krishna University, faculty, non-teaching staff and dignitaries gathered to pay homage to NTR’s lasting influence on Andhra Pradesh.
